Sabotage Against RAB

Recently an innocent political activist Sumon has been killed by RAB in Khilgaon. I think that, a sabotage attempt may be behind this tragic incident. The opposition party has been accusing government from a long time for using the elite force to eliminate political opposition instead of real terrorists. But their argument was not proved or verified by general people. Everybody believed and observed that, only top terrors and professional killers are killed by RAB, not a single innocent people get victim. In this situation, the opposition party need such incident which can prove that, RAB is being used in political purpose and Government want to hunt down political opposition by the name of terror prevention. Perhaps, opposition politicians have manage this agenda by their supporters appointed in RAB. After the incident, one of their political leaders immediately came to the family of victim and blamed the government for eliminating opposition activists by a blue-print. So, it is very possible that, it was pre-planned and they themselves are the culprits of blue-print, which was designed to malign government and RAB. Generally after each crossfire incident, local people celebrate joy and distribute sweet. We have see only two exceptional case, where the local people protest against the incident. One case was a murder of BNP leader in Barisal, and the second case is recent killing of Awami League activist Sumon  in Dhaka. Killing of BNP leader by RAB was an attempt to create split in ruling party and persuade the party members against RAB and government; and killing of AL activist was for blame government for political killing and persuade people against government and make an issue, which can justify their campaign against Government and RAB.

Our suspicion became stronger by a mysterious statement of supreme opposition leader. She said about RAB’s crossfire, “After took up (the victim), it is told (to him), your certain leader have paid amount for killing you in crossfire.” (Amar Desh: 5 June, 2005) But how can she receive this specific information? Was she present at the spot? Can she tell the names of individuals who have inform her? Is the matter like “Who is in ‘Thakur’ house- I am not eating banana.’’

According to Daily Star, “The Rab arrested Sumon mistaking him with an alleged criminal with the same name, and said he was killed in an 'encounter'.’’ (June 05, 2005) If it were simply a mistake, we have nothing to say. But it is also a matter of think that, who miss-informed RAB?

In these circumstances, the Government should be careful about the conspiracy and any killing by RAB out of terror list should be properly investigated and real truth should be revealed as early as possible.

N.B. We are not confirmed if the victim Sumon was innocent or criminal. If he was criminal, there is no objection and this article would not be applicable. But if he was innocent, the probability of conspiracy should be verified.
