Raw's effort to create sectarian sedge in the country

Shahab-ud-Din was a normal human being of 25 years of age belonging to village Kotla, Tehsil Roper dish. Ambala in India. His attachment to the religion was nominal or normal, could not even distinguish between Tauhid Sunnat, Shirk and Biddat. With blessing from Allah, he somehow got in the association of the then reknown Ahl-e-Hadith scholar Hafiz Abdullah Muhadith Ropari and become his regular student, madly involved in search of knowledge, thus Allah opened his heart to acquire knowledge. In few years time fame touched him and he become an authentic, excellent not only scholar but pious in practice as well. He was a Saint. He had a very daring and brave personality. He belonged to a prosperous landlord family which made him influential all the while. Equipping himself with Islamic knowledge he on one hand purified his locality from ingrained innovations in Islam, on the other hand started propagating Islam among Sikhs and Hindus. Majority of the locals were Hindus or Sikhs. Slaughtering a cow was virtually impossible. Shahab-ud-Din was the first person to slaughter a cow in that very locality. Many false cases got registered against him in the courts. Many a time attack with the intention to kill him, was put in the prison. But nothing could shake his faith.

During partition of India, he was particularly targeted. After the partition this family migrated to Pakistan and settled along with Professor Hafiz Abdullah Bahawalpuri at Chak 85 N, Silanwali Road Sargodha. Where as that candle which he lit with his courage, zeal, love and with martyrdom was still there to spread the light.

On Sunday Sept 12, right after morning prayer in font of the mosque and at door step of his house, another Mujahid, Scholar, Ghazi of Afghanistan Jihad, Hafiz Ibrahim Slafi was martyred– descending from the same family real grandson of Shahab-ud-Din, a devoted Muslim, courageous, straight forward, honest, with craze to live and die for Islam he inherited these qualities from his ancestors.

A whole family Beacon of Light

The grand mother of Hafiz Ibrahim Salfi was not a Hafiza only but also a pious scholar. She started Tahajjud prayer at the age of 13 and continued till the end of life, his mother was also a Hafiza, Father being an Islamic scholar, elder brother (deceased), sister, he himself and his younger brother Ismail are blessed being Hifz-e-Quran, all of them were taught by their mother. Salfi Shaheed had three sons. One of them Hafiz Abudl Khaliq was martyred in Jihad-e-Kashmir. Remaining Hafiz Abdul Majid is an Islamic scholar. His younger son Abdullah has memorised 20 paras, whereas the youngest Naeem-ur-Rehman has memorized 10 paras, his two daughters were already Hafizas, one being scholar as well. His daughter-in-law is also an Islamic scholar.

Salfi's father told this Serbi magazine that from his childhood his son was too much attached to Islamic studies, so when often becoming hafiz in his early age they admit him in a school he insisted to be admitted in a Madrisa for Islamic education, so hardly he passed his 9th class then he himself joined a Madrisa run by Mulana Siddique, there for he went to Mamun Kajan and then studying at Jamia Salfia Faisalabad he moved to Jamia Rehmania Karachi. Later on he earned his degree from James Mohammadiya Gujranwala. Ibrahim Salfi's teacher and friend admit that apart from a genius student, he was an orator of high calibre. He always carried a passion to love and serve. He was conscious person and a devout Muslim. For him this life was just collateral for death. Was least bothered by anything on his journey towards Allah. "Jihad" and "Unity of Allah" were his favourite subjects.

As a khateeb (publication) in Quds Mosque

He started as Khateeb around 25 years ago in Quds Mosque Ahle-e-Hadith in Town ship Lahore. According to locals when he started, hardly a single line of people were there for Jumah prayers. He worked day and night to establish this institution. In one he was a scholar, a preacher, an orator and above all a Mujahid. Don't forget he was also a Ghazi of Afghanistan Jihad. Whether he was at home or busy elsewhere with his lectures and preaching doing an exhausting job, he always lead morning prayers in his mosque. Teaching of Quran was his usual mission after morning prayers throughout his life. Apart form it Translation of Quran was a regular class after Morning and Esha prayers. In Morning class he had approximately 40 students. He always kept himself busy giving lectures and preaching as well as monthly Quran Teaching in different mosques in Township area.

At home students of 8 years old were regular students, which were looked after by his daughter and daughter in law. He himself used to teach Sahih Bukhari to the students at home. He always kept his spirit high. These were his motives which kept him young, energetic and all the while in action.

As far as Islam is concerned he knew no bound to go for preaching and propagating. He was such fruit laden tree who used to shelter others under his shade as well. He was not confined to Quds' mosque only, but also helped top build around 30 mosques in that very locality: He was so humble, polite and to the point ,that his message used to reach down to the hearts of his audience. This was one of the reasons that people from far away used to come to listen his address. He always advised then to offer their prayer in the mosque in their own vicinity. Acknowledging his talents and his devotion to Islam, he was offered attractive salaries from different quarters, which he humbly declined, till his body was taken out of Quds Mosque.

Deadly Attack:

He recovered his first deadly attack on Oct. 30 1992 when a man hidden in the adjoining ground fired at him, one bullet pierced through his belly, the other on his thigh. He remained unconscious for three days in the hospital and spent there fifteen days. Until then attackers were traced. He forgave them and left the matter to Allah.

Motives behind Attack:

He was attacked in 1992, and last month he was martyred, regarding it two questions arise in one's mind.

1- What was the motive of attackers?

2- Who were they?

If we comprehend the motives of the culprits then it would not be difficult to trace them, we just have to go back to 1992 and analyze that event closely. It would be quite clear that had Hafiz Salfi not digested that vicious crime and not pardoned them, Lahore city would have dragged into turmoil and violence. But him being not only kind but farsighted he had gauged enemy's conspiracy plainly let it go and forgave them, thus enemy's heinous and treacherous conspiracy was foiled and failed and Lahore was saved from blood shed. The clear purpose of the enemy was to disrupt the peace and put the city into sectarian violence.

Now comes the question who are they?

It is evident that minds which are working to create bloodshed and turmoil got to be dead enemy of this entity Pakistan; the secret is open like day light. They are Jews, Hindus and modern day superpower U.S. History of Jamat-ul-Dawa proves itself that it is dead against sectarian hated and violence, its only Motto is to fight and to stand up for Jihad against oppressors tyrant infidels. Jamat-ul-dawa has become a permanent soar of their eyes. Salfi was not only a preacher of Islam but also was a source of motivation and a force for Mujahideen. Professor Hafiz Saeed and Salfi were on the RAW's hit list for a long time And thus enhance their designs and motives to meet their own end.

1- By eliminating the leaders of Jamat-ul-dawa to dilute its strength.

2- To divert jamat's focus from Kashmir to inner communal conflict.

3- Circumstantial evidence which made Hafiz Salfi RAW's prime target.

RAW and Ibrahim Salfi

As already mentioned Hafiz Salfi inherited this spirit of Jihad and Martyrdom from his grandfather. In this regard his relatives add:

His ideal was his grandfather, he was particularly keen to listen to his grand fathers' encounter with Sikhs and Hindus. It was his inborn instinct that Hindus were staunch enemy of Muslims, and it is incumbent for Muslims to fight against them. He was not only a man of words but deeds also. In 1992 spirit of Jihad moved him to Afghanistan, and he returned as a Ghazi. After Afghanistan, when Kashmir Jihad started, he actively involved himself in it. When his own son Hafiz Abdul Kahliq was martyred in Kashmir it invigorated his spirit. After one son's martyrdom, he sent other son Abdullah for this cause. After 9/11 when Hafiz Muhammad Saeed was put behind the bar, and when to name Jihad or Mujahideen virtually became a sin. He was never subdued, rather more aggressively involved him collecting funds for Mujahideen and prayed for their victory. It was due to his efforts, that the Jamat's journals Mujahllah al-Daawa, Ghazwa, Jihadi books, cassettes, and Jihadi anthems reached house to house in Township. His Masjid-e-Quds practically became of centre of Jamat al-Adawa and Mujahideen. These were his fireless efforts that a big team of Mujahideen from his locality got trained and went to the front, some came back as Ghazis, some are still in Jihad with valour and bravery, and it is Township which claims to have 7 martyrs.

How much Indian RAW was scared from him? One can imagine the very fact, that once Indian TV broadcasted a programme regarding "Jihad in Kashmir," where in they did not only show "Quds Mosque" but also all adjoining Jamat-ud-Dawa's office next to it. Experts on "Jihad in India claimed Hafiz Salfi as the most prominent personality in Lashkar-e-Tayyba and most dangerous man as for as Kashmir Jiahd is concerned.

This is from Indian perspective, as for himself he always prayed for Martyrdom. What a coincidence or his strong belief in Allah, the day he was martyred in his morning prayer he recited this verse from Holy Quan.

"And don't say about those who fought in the path of Allah and expired, as "dead", they are alive, whereas you know not".

He even touched this very subject after Morning prayer in his regular "Quran Teaching" period. According to a highly reliable source from the RAW agents who have been captured in Pakistan, a hit list has been discovered which puts Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on the top and Hafiz Ibrahim Salfi was No 3 in order. So there remains no doubt that RAW performed this henious act.
